Use a pause before or after saying sorry.
This makes the person you’re talking to listen carefully to what you are saying.  

Here are a few examples.

Sorry, (pause) I'm afraid I have to go. 
Listen, (pause) sorry Amanda. I'm in a rush.
Sorry, (pause) I better get going.

       猫妈妈带着小猫在河边钓鱼。一会儿，一只蜻蜓飞过来，小猫就去捉蜻蜓。一会儿，一只蝴蝶飞过来，小猫又去捉蝴蝶，结果什么都没有捉到，也没有钓到鱼。这时，猫妈妈已经钓到好几条大鱼了。小猫生气地说:“我怎么钓不到鱼呢?“ 妈妈说：“你一会儿捉蜻蜓，一会儿捉蝴蝶，三心二意，怎么能钓到鱼呢?”
       小猫听了妈妈的话，就专心地钓鱼了。不一会儿，小猫也钓到了一条大鱼，她和妈妈都笑了。

xiǎo māo tīng le mā ma de huà，jiù zhuān xīn de diào yú le。bù yí huìr，xiǎo māo yě diào dào le yì tiáo dà yú，tā hé mā ma dōu xiào le。
