Descrição
The closest thing in this library to sitting the real thing, and it's meant to feel uncomfortable. I play the examiner. Each question leaves a gap for you to answer aloud, then you hear what a strong answer contains, what a weak one looks like, and a model answer. The levels: warm-up, description (your family), past narration (where most candidates leak into the present), and a hypothetical using the -ആൽ conditional. The rule throughout: aim for complete answers, not perfect sentences. Doing the task outweighs accuracy. Words and phrases in this class: നിങ്ങളുടെ പേര് എന്താണ്? (ningalude peru enthaanu?) – what is your name? നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെയാണ് താമസിക്കുന്നത്? (ningal evideyaanu thaamasikkunnathu?) – where do you live? എന്തിനാണ് നിങ്ങൾ മലയാളം പഠിക്കുന്നത്? (enthinaanu ningal malayaalam padikkunnathu?) – why are you learning Malayalam? കാരണം (kaaranam) – because പിന്നെ (pinne) – and also; then നിങ്ങളുടെ കുടുംബത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് പറയൂ (ningalude kudumbathekkurichu parayoo) – tell me about your family എന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിൽ നാല് പേരുണ്ട് (ente kudumbathil naalu perundu) – there are four people in my family ഇന്നലെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്ത് ചെയ്തു? (innale ningal enthu cheythu?) – what did you do yesterday? അവധി കിട്ടിയാൽ (avadhi kittiyaal) – if you got a holiday എനിക്ക് ഗ്രാമം ആണ് ഇഷ്ടം (enikku graamam aanu ishtam) – I prefer the village In this class: • How to use the gaps, and why you should record yourself • Warm-up: turning one-word answers into full answers • Description and past narration, and the tense leak that costs a level • The hypothetical with -ആൽ, with strong and weak models throughout Quizzes below.
