Hi, there Let’s say you are at a cheap country roadside hotel that looks really bad, but you don’t have other options. Then the receptionist says: The rooms are offer a safety deposit box, a phone and hot water If you want to be kind of sarcastic that you are not excited at all about “hot water”, because that’s the minimum/least (should I say “least” here???) a hotel room should offer, what could you say? “If it didn’t have hot water, THOUGH..”... Would it sound odd I used “though” here? What about “That’s the minimum/least it should have!”.? Thank you!

I would hope so! And I don’t have to pay extra?! Oooh, 5 star amenities. Hot water! You guys are really going all out!

Yes, you can say "least". I wouldn't respond to the part about water, it's just noise to me. But if I want to complain or to express my dissatisfaction about whatever, then I would just directly say, "I am not happy about your ..." But a more effective way to communicate would be to directly assert my needs, whatever that is, like saying, "Okay, I have a situation here, can you help me with ...?" Something like that.
