However, opera narratives are gradually distancing themselves from contemporary social movements. It because opera works containing elements of racial and gender discrimination are being criticized. Also, Performances featuring racial and gender stereotypes are also being scrutinized.Therefore, Opera is navigating the challenging balance of preserving tradition while appealing to a modern audience. I was surprised that opera has problems such as racism and sexism because I have never seen opera. I thought opera was just singing to the story. If don’t know if it’s a good idea to change an old tradition so that the audience can come to see the opera. However, I don’t think it’s a good idea to play racism, sexism, stereotypes about race and gender in an opera just because of tradition. This is difficult problem.
