New Year’s Day The most important New Year’s celebrations in VN occur during the traditional Lunar New Year. However, Vietnam also celebrates New Year’s Day according to the Gregorian Calendar on 1 january. will be off on this day. 2. Lunar New Year is called Tet holiday, which is the most important holiday in Vietnamese tradition and generally falls in late January or early February. This holiday will last 5 to 7 days for employees and 15 days for students so everyone can enjoy a lot of unique and diverse festivals. It can be said that Tet is not only an important traditional event, but also an occasion to gather all the family members, visit relatives and friends.
