(2) or “so it’s normal to see…” (3) “avoid” is clearer here. “How not to put yourself at risk” suggests there is a better way of putting yourself at risk. Maybe it’s clearer with another example: “She told me how not to talk to her friend” doesn’t mean she told me how to avoid speaking to her friend, but instead that she told me what things I should avoid saying to her friend (which suggests there are other things I CAN say to her friend). I.e. she told me a better way of doing something rather than how to avoid doing something. (4) or “… make friends online safely.” (5) I think it should be “not to give”, but it sounds odd. “To not give” also sounds odd. You probably have a negative too soon after “don’t”. I think it would be more common to say “to avoid” here, which avoids the double negative 🙂.
