It was 800m run that made me realize the truth as well as happiness of DEFERRED GRATIFICATION! I had a physical exercise test of 800m run in my junior high. To run faster within a limited time, I not only had to spare much time and effort to build up strength, but I also had to make a strategy to save my energy for the end of the race. So in the first 400m, I ran in the middle of the group instead of being hurried to take the lead. Although some students caught up with me when we ran 600m, I kept breathing steadily and accelerated methodically. At the rest of 200m, I speeded up as fast as I could. Eventually, I was the fourth to finish the run in my group in 3'06'' which was my best score! It seemed to happen in an instant, but the joy as well as wisdom will remain fresh in my memory.

You're so wise beyond your years. Well done Lady Lucy :). Needlessly to say, if you really do keep such lessons in mind, you'll have an even brighter future. So impressive. You may have been 4th in the race, but you were 1st in spirit.

It was an 800m run that made me realize the truth as well as happiness of DEFERRED GRATIFICATION! I had a physical exercise test being an 800m run in my junior high. To run faster within a limited time, I not only had to spend much time and effort to build up strength, but I also had to devise a strategy to save my energy for the end of the race. So in the first 400m, I ran in the middle of the group instead of hurrying to take the lead. Although some students caught up with me when we go to 600m, I kept breathing steadily and accelerated smoothly. For the last 200m, I ran as fast as I could. Eventually, I was the fourth to finish the run in my group in 3'06'' which was my best time! It seemed to happen in an instant, but the joy as well as wisdom will remain fresh in my memory.
Well done! My university students had to do this.
