Hi community,
Me and my workmates are going to attend an energy storage expo in Germany in June, and I am the only one that knows English. But I have no experience of going abroad, or talking in a full English-speaking country.Plus I know little things about energy storage itself which I am still working on it. And What I am wanting to improve is how to deal with that situation within 2 months. Can anyone/teachers help me with that?

Although, I'm not listed as an English teacher here but I can help you with that. You need to practice a little on conversational English. Most of the Germans have a clear and easy-to-understand accent. It would be a smooth experience for you.

Consider taking a short English language course or practicing conversational English with native speakers. Focus on industry-specific terms related to energy storage.
While you’re still learning about energy storage, focus on the fundamentals. Understand key concepts, trends, and technologies. Don’t worry about being an expert; curiosity and willingness to learn matter most.
Have a great time at the expo!

Nothing can prepare you. That’s the reality. You just have to do it. You have to immerse yourself and talk to others in English. And if you’re observant (assuming you’re going to talk to native speakers there) you can pick up things the way a native speaker says them. Until then, you could just simply Skype/Zoom with other native English speakers to relief your anxiety. But like I said, nothing will prepare you for the real thing.

You'll be fine. Nothing to worry about. Is all your accomodation sorted out? If so it's easy enough.
