Today's lesson delved deeper into symmetry than the textbook ever did – fascinating stuff! If I understood it correctly, a square has four lines of reflectional symmetry and four orders of rotational symmetry. It definitely went over my mom's head, though. Basically, symmetry is all about finding those cool mirrored patterns and how things can be rotated and still look the same.
