Hi,guys! Could you tell me what the difference among "comment", "review" , "remark" is. I know they all have a same meaning. It means some people said something about something or some people.

For me, comment and remark are closer to one another than either is to review. Review is generally a more formal assessment or summary of something. As such it will typically be about the whole things, such as a book review. Even if the book review is about a novel, where one might not want to give away the whole story (so spoil the reading for many) those reading the review expect to have a good idea about the whole book (type of plot, character development, style of writing...). One would not expect a comment or remark about a book to necessarily cover the whole book but might relate to a character, writing style or a theme in the book. But you would not expect to really know what the book was about, or even if you would enjoy reading it, from a comment or remark. In other words, comments and remarks are more narrow or focused while a review is more holistic or global (of the subject) in scope.

"Comment". I am leaving you a comment on your question write now. Comments are statements about something someone says or does. Anyone can comment about anything. For example. my comment to you is "I like your glasses! "review". A review a comment of someone's work. For example, my boss will review my work when I submit it to be sure I did it correctly and that it is to the standard my company desires. Or, if you write an essay, I can review it for you to make sure the spelling, grammar, and punctuation are correct. "remark": Even though "remark" is a synonym of "comment". It isn't used as much, and "comment" is more popular to use (probably because "comment" is mostly used now in social media when referring to someone in a video saying "Leave your comments below!" They just as well could say "Leave your remarks below!" I am most used to "remark" being used in literary writing as someone's response. For example: The teacher said, "Be quiet in class, Billy!" Billy remarked, "You be quiet," quietly to himself.

Yes, you're correct, but there are significant differences in the way these words are used. A "comment" is something you say or write as your opinion. (She commented that the dress looked good on me.) (My Instagram post had a hundred comments.) A "review" is when you express your opinion about something and give your final decision on it. (The board of directors reviewed my application.) We also see "reviews" for products and services where people express their thoughts on them and recommend (or discourage) its use to people. (The latest poetry collection by Margaret Atwood has great reviews.) A "remark" is a spoken statement of an opinion or a thought. (My friend remarked that I had gained weight.) Hope this makes things clear for you.

These words have different meanings, although they are related. ok, "review" is like a thorough examination and set of opinions on something. For example, A review of a movie could be an entire newspaper article. Or a review of a music concert. A remark, is usually spoken. It is something a person says to express an opinion during a conversation. A comment is similar to a remark, but is often written. (Social media is built upon the idea of comments) All 3 of these things are different ways of expressing an opinion. Also, all 3 can be nouns or verbs. For example, He commented on my video. The professor reviewed my thesis. "That is a nice hat," she remarked. Good luck! 祝你好运!
