Hello!
How did you reach each new next level in English? For example, if you’ve stuck on B1.
Some people advise to watch American serials, but it’s too boring to me, because they consist of a lot of episodes and steal your time. Also I hate that artificial laugh every 5 seconds.
Share your personal experience, please.

I definitely recommend listening to podcasts. You can practice this anywhere. Luke's english podcasts are the best for me because there are transcripts available which is very helpful.

When you have a teacher, you can ask them to have themed conversation or themed writing analysis. So you can improve your English based on the topics. The teacher can help you to have more complex sentences and advanced vocabularies. Instead of watching series, you can watch short videos and discuss/debate it with your teacher.

I used to feel the same since I don't have too much time for series because of university and I'd rather watch a movie. So this is my first advice: maybe you can watch movies you like.
On the other hand, I've found some good miniseries that don't take a lot of episodes and you can see in your leisure time. I recommend you: Queen's gambit, Clickbait, and Chernobyl.
And finally, whenever I feel stuck in something, I try to practice in any possible way such as writing here in italki, recording videos, meeting new people...etc. So if you want to practice with someone, you can count on me :)
