Hi, basically if you had a company that was great, you'd say 'that's how to do business'. This is the opposite - so you are doing something which is damaging to your reputation and perception in the market. So if you bad mouthed competitors or tried to use underhand tactics, you would say 'this is now way to do business'.

This is not the way to do business. Means not a fare way to handle a business

It means conducting business in a wrong way. For example: over charging for a service. Or for example: being rude to customers
