It was still overcast today. In the morning, I had a great time playing games on my game console without any disturbances while Dad was sleeping in. MeeMaw came by around dusk for her special diet. I helped out by blending the ingredients. The blender felt clunky and clumsy. It was (can use “is” here) no doubt obsolete. Mom had suggested buying a new one, but Dad, being quite superstitious and paranoid, said that buying it on purpose might become an omen implying that the patient would never recover. So, no new blender! Dad must have been stressed out.
