Nahi karni - it's just like we are angry (emotion) EXAMPLE - If a boy cheat his girlfriend on another girl, and his girlfriend found out and now boy wants to talk to his girlfriend, She simply say - mujhe tumse baat nhi karni because she is angry and sad. --- "CHAHIYE" is more like "SHOULD" or "NEEDED" EXAMPLE- you should do that work -आपको वह काम करना चाहिए ( Aapko wah kaam karna chahiye} And yaa CHAHIYE also means is want ( it's really like Desire & wish) Example - I want basketball मुझे बास्केटबॉल चाहिए (Mujhe basket ball chahiye) in this sentence, we wish, desire & demand for basketball. But मुझे तुमसे बात नहीं करनी --- in this sentence it is neither desire nor demand. it's a decision. Example - मुझे खाना नहीं खाना - ( I do not want to eat ) ---- DECISION मुझे खाना नहीं खाना चाहिए-( i don't want to eat )---- NEEDED मुझे खाना नहीं खाना it's like a decision मुझे खाना नहीं खाना चाहिए it's just like someone has a pain in the stomach and "NEED" to skip a meal. मुझे खाना नहीं खाना it's like a decision NOTE -- Please don't translate those example in English with google because you may get confused and also don't try so hard because in the end both sentence "main tumse baat nahin karna chahti hoon" , "mujhe tumse baat nhii karni" is correct and Indian people will understand it with context if you ever want any help & advice you can tell me ( I don't charge ) and I'll help you.

Thank you Ravi. I know that sometimes ppl dont use "hai", u have already explained me this very nicely before :) However I dont understand why this sentence means "i dont want to talk to u". cos there is no "want-chahti" in the sentence. I would rather say something like "main tumse baat nahin karna chahti hoon" if someone would ask me to translate "I dont want to talk to u". so I dont get it and dont understand what means "nahin karni".

मुझे तुमसे बात नहीं करनी And मुझे तुमसे बात नहीं करनी है Both are same and, In hindi, now a days sometime people don't use " hai (है)" in many places.. Because the meaning of the sentence does not change, Example- तुमने बहुत अच्छा गाना गाया है| तुमने बहुत अच्छा गाना गाया | But we can't do this to all the sentences, only few sentences are there in which you do this ( removing हैं, हूं, थी, था etc) Example - पानी बहुत गरम है पानी बहुत गरम Here second sentence is not clear so it is wrong here to remove* है *
