In the past few years, I used to watch dramas with English subtitles. I think that is where I got a lot of phrases and words, which we use in our real conversations. After watching some dramas, I would write the new phrases and words, but often times, I got a challenge with some words and phrases. I would ask myself, 'Are they really good to use when we speak with someone?' I mean, are they really polite? I think that when we translate our native language directly into another language, sometimes they are not meaningful or they are not polite.
