Today, I felt very tired because I have been busy recently. Even though I was exhausted, I did my best to finish the things I needed to do. I tried to stay focused and complete my work without giving up. After that, I took some time to relax and rest. I hope I can get enough sleep tonight and feel more energetic tomorrow.

Great work. You've used the simple past here as I'm assuming the day is essentially finished (i.e. you are about to go to bed). If it were earlier in the day you might need the present perfect.
