It was scorching today, and my phone buzzed with a heatwave alert. As usual, I practiced guitar this morning, then dashed through my math homework before lunch. I spent the rest of the day in an online chat room talking, and bragging to strangers. Since it’s summer break, many students were there practicing spoken English. My dad says this stuff is an unstoppable trend for kids these days. Back when he was young, he’d hang out with friends in person every single day of summer break. Honestly? I’m good, it’s way too hot out there. I’d love drone deliveries or virtual reality concerts someday. New technology is totally my thing.
