Hello, Ellie, Waterfront: Typically a waterfront is a piece of land directly adjacent to a body of water. Oftentimes a waterfront will also have buildings built on it. An example is a waterfront next to a beach that hosts large hotels for tourists. A waterfront does not necessarily need to have buildings on it, though, in order for it to count as a waterfront. It could simply refer to a plot of land next to a body of water. Bank: This is just a term to refer to the land that slopes down to any body of water like a river, lake, ocean, etc... the term bank in is used specifically to refer to the land that slopes down into and meets the water. Coast: A coast is a term that refers to the land that meets the sea. You CANNOT use the term coast when referring to land that meets a smaller body of water like a lake, river, etc... As far as I am aware, the term coast strictly refers to the land next to the OCEAN/SEA I hope that helps!
