Treto is a small town located near Colindres and Laredo, two important towns in
Cantabria, Spain. In Treto, there’s an estuary that flows into the Cantabrian Sea. My
parents-in-law have a duplex flat there, so we decided to visit for a short
trip. The journey was smooth, although we had a few mishaps with our daughter.
She threw up in the car, wet herself twice, and her clothes ended up smelling
terrible. When we arrived, we couldn’t find any open restaurants. While my wife
went to the supermarket, I stayed behind to feed our baby with some leftovers we
had prepared for the trip. After getting to the flat, I turned on the fuses,
water, and heating to make the house comfortable. Once we had lunch, my wife
took a nap while I explored the town with our daughter. It was a peaceful walk,
and the fresh air felt nice after the chaotic start to the day. When my wife
woke up, she called me to join her at the supermarket to pick up some supplies.
That evening, we struggled to get our daughter to sleep, so we ended up going to
bed quite late, completely exhausted. Despite the challenges, it was nice to be
in Treto, enjoying the calm surroundings and spending time together as a family.
