Is that make sense?

Hi guys!

I would like to know if these sentence I wrote makes sense to you?

"In my opinion, the several arrests of politicians, bankers, and entrepreneurs are little signals that important changes have been coming to stay".

I am not sure if the part 'have been coming to stay' is correct or if it makes sense to a native speaker.

Many thanks in advance :)

Cheers,

Karine.

Nearly, but not quite! Your sentence sounds like the 'changes' themselves aren't here yet, but are on their way. As a result, you should write it like this (as in future tense):

"In my opinion, the several arrests of politicians, bankers, and entrepreneurs are little signals that important changes are coming to stay".

The meaning is obvious to a native speaker of English regardless, but 'are coming to stay' is grammatically correct in this case.
