what's the biggest obstacle of learning Mandarin?

Hi, folks.

I have one year expenrience of Chinese teaching, I will start my first lesson here,but before that,I wanna know your concerns.

1, why you wanna learn Chinese?

A, I live in China,I wanna speak Chinese in daily life.

B,I can speak some mandarin,I wanna learn more about Chinese culture.

C,I am/will work in China,I need to learn Business Chinese.

D,I'm a student,I wanna learn a second language.

2,what's the biggest obstacle of learning Mandarin for you?

A,Pinyin.

B,Grammar.

C,Chinese charactor.

D,Different culture.

I spent some time in college learning Mandarin. Initially, I felt that tones were the most difficult. However, that faded after about two weeks of practicing and listening everyday.. Compared to other tonal languages Mandarin is not difficult. By far the most difficult part of attempting to learn Chinese was Hanzi.

I agree with <a ui-sref="user({id:comment.commenter_obj.id})" href="https://www.italki.com/user/3247469">Helen Jude</a> that pronunciation is particularly difficult for an English speaker.

<ul class="list-inline text-light-gray"><li><a ng-if="discu.creator_obj.allow_profile" ui-sref="user({id:discu.creator_obj.id})" href="https://www.italki.com/user/3332834" class="">MingXing Che</a> :   surely you must know that</li> 'wanna'  is not a proper English word, but a transcription of 'want to', which is the correct form.</ul>

I'm a student and I'm learning Chinese as a challenge. For me, the BIGGEST obstacle is getting the necessary learning materials. But while learning, I think the grammar is the most difficult.

You can learn the correct way but can you remember the next time around.......? That refers to everything: pronunication, tones, grammar, chinese logic...... A learner will 乱七八糟
