I can because it is the same pronunciation in Portuguese, soft and clean =)

Don't worry, the sound of the letter R is horrible in each language and in Russian it appears on the letter P. that's sad =(

Here is how it works.

Try to press the tip of our tongue to the roof of your mouth, somewhere in the middle. Place your tongue in the way that blocks all the air that you're breathing out. Then lower the tip your tongue a bit so that you can breath the air out and start pressing it back, until you start sounding like a tigress. Later on try to relax the tip of your tongue a bit while gently pressing it to the roof of your mouth, to get softer sounds.

I guess it's easier said than done, but that's how it works.

I don't speak Russian, just know the Cyrillic alphabet, but in my native language, Portuguese, we have almost every possible R sounds. So, for me it's easy. An R sound I wasn't able to reproduce is the "R grasseyé" of French, that is an uvular trill. But, it was enough to try and practise. Pronunciation of letters is all about practice. That's all you have to do. You'll be able to make this sound. Good luck.

It's very difficult to give some advice but maybe straining the root of your tongue will be helpful while practicing it.

In my pronunciation course it plays a very important role. Good luck Candice.
