Forcing them to eat brussel sprouts. That is just CRUEL.

Children eventually grow up and become adults, independent ones. So, they can choose whatever they want to be.

It's painful sentence and unfortunately , it is a truth in our world ! 

Many parents think they know better and advise their children to follow their way. They consider it safer than choosing something unknown. The problem is when they keep on doing that even when they see that the child is not interested in their field of study or clearly has no talents needed for it.
Theoretically everyone can choose his own way after becoming an adult, but choosing his own way may result in his being financially dependent during the next few years. And what if his parents disagree to support him? 'Do, what we want you to do or go to work!' These things happen. I've heard many times people saying 'I was interested in ... but my parents forced me to study ...' or 'to work in the family business'.

@marcin seeing these happenings is very painful. I hope one day we wouldn't see a child forced by parents to do something that he/she not interested in that .
