What happened to italki's Classroom communication app?
More than a month ago italki normally provided a link to their Classroom (Skype-like) app and encouraged italki teachers to use the Classroom app instead of Skype.
The app had several deficiencies and was not popular (and perhaps not used very much).
Now, a month or more after the Classroom launch, none of the lesson requests I receive have a link to the Classroom app.
So... has italki stopped offering/providing the Classroom app?

I guess it was taken down because of it's deficiencies and the lack of popularity with students and/or teachers. I personally prefer Skype over any other communication tool. Yes, it has it's flaws and everything but it's much better compared to all the others.

I wonder what happened to the Italki Classroom app. I never was offered that link when I booked a lesson. I discover today that my Skype account that I used for taking lessons just desappeared since Microsoft imposed an update on iPad tablets .

I am relatively new but on researching italki I had read about the Classroom App but since joining I can't find it. Hopefully someone will manage to give you an answer.

I was actually supposed to have a lesson through that, today, but it was so beyond glitchy, we ended up having to switch to skype.

Actually, it pops up in the scheduled lesson starting an hour or so before it is about to start. You can enter their classroom during that time through giving in the link within the lesson. Hope this helps!
