I recommend 2 German TV shows: Babylon Berlin and Dark. Both are on Netflix (depending on your country maybe you can't see Babylon Berlin). Babylon Berlin is about a policeman in 20s Berlin and Dark is about a missing child in a small German town. Both have good performances, great cinematography and great soundtrack.

You're welcome! MediathekView features only public channels which is why ProSieben isn't on the list. Besides "Galileo", there are a number of private TV formats that have grown quite popular, e.g. "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" (RTL), "Shopping Queen" (VOX), and "The Voice of Germany" (ProSieben).
