Here's an idea.

Just like you Jerry, I teach (French, <em>bonjour au passage </em>!) on Italki.

Did you know that we are surrounded by great teachers and passionate educators here ? :)

So you can just take lessons, and see other people's teaching style! I do it often for three reasons: first, to practice my language. Second, to see what it feels like to learn by video, from the learner point of view, <em>and at different levels. </em>I'll take lessons in Russian (as a beginner), in Spanish (to see what I like from a teacher, for my intermediate level) and in English (to see what helps me most at advanced level). Finally, the teachers inspire me with their own ways of teaching, and then hopefully I can keep the best and use it with my own students too!
