Encontre Inglês Professores
李姝欣-Joy
Need a native British English speaker to exchange speaking skills. I speak Pu tong hua WELL.
I used to be a professional broadcaster student in China, and have passed Certificate of Putonghua Proficiency Test (二级甲等).
I need a partner to regularly help each other with the speaking skills and pronunciation every week.
I read the texts of New Concept English and you correct me. I really love the cute British accent.
and in the same way, I correct your Chinese accent, and even can help you pass the exam of Putonghua Proficiency Test .
thanks, waiting for your message!

I'm not British, and I'm not looking for a language partner, but was just wondering what level you have to score to become a professional broadcaster where you live?

Hello Joy
Perhaps just delete the adjective? The sentence would have the same positive meaning with no adjective at all. What do you think?

A polite suggestion, Joy.
Toddlers are 'cute'. Fluffy kittens with bows on their heads are 'cute'. It's fine to look at those and say "Aw, how sweet! Little kitties. Ain't they cute?"
However, saying that an intelligent adult - who might be delivering a lecture, making a speech or negotiating a business deal - sounds 'cute' is insulting.
Please think again about your use of the word 'cute'. I'm sure that you meant it in a positive way, but that's not how it will be interpreted.
