I like different kind sounds of languages. When I heard people speaking theirs languages, it make me want to learn.

Interactions with native speakers. It could be an older Venezuelan immigrant who isn't himself in the local language and even less so in English, but loves chatting in Spanish. It could be the local people I see every day where I live. Several times, I've seen the change in people when they switch from English to their native language when they find out I speak it too. Instead of being stilted and distant, they can express themselves naturally and comfortably. I see more of their personality. There are many reasons why I learn languages, but this feeling of a wall crumbling or a veil lifting is what motivates me.

I am interested in learning new things, people and places. English is like a magic wand to immerse into the vast sea of knowledge! This motivates me to learn it!
