Hello, I want to learn Arabic, I know the alphabet and I can read Arabic setences but I dont know the meaning of words :) what should I do in that case, just for study the vocabs?
Also, I know there are different accents in Arabic, are they different from Quran's language?
There are different "accents", and they can be significantly different. The one in the Quran is International Arabic (Fusha in Arabic). It has many names. Then there are street Arabic "accents", they are between being a dialect and a different language on its own. By learning International Arabic everyone that at least has gone it school will understand you 100% (assuming you pronounced it right and it was said correctly). If you learn a particular street dialect then you are going to have a lot of fustrations and many will not understand you. M

You should listen to an Arabic songs , there are more than 7 or 8 main accents , and it's different in reading Quraan , we called it " قراءات " there is a 10 Qera'at , and it's for every Arabic tong . that's about fusha .. but you need to listen , Egyptian , Morocan , Palestinian , Saudi songs , and listen to Quraan to know the difference , then try to translate it into your language , there is a lot of Osman's words in common , it's gonna be hard but you will learn the most elegant language ..
my advice to you is watch english programs with Arabic sub / Arabic translation
that way you will memorize a lot of Arabic words
then when you read Arabic sentences next time you can at least understand part of it
I think u have good comments now about how to learn more vacabulary .For the point of dialect ,u can learn the egyptian and every body will understand u ,it’s easy and there are lots of songs and movies u can listen and watch :)
