Articulation Of The Arabic Alphabet

The Arabic alphabet is full of novel pronunciations for non-native speakers taking up the language. You’ll really need to spend some time to allow your throat, tongue and generally your mouth to move the way it should in order to produce these sounds, here’s how you do it, read here.

Hey Aliph,

The ح sound is produced in the pharynx, which is at the back of the mouth, behind the tongue. When you clear your throat, you're constricting your pharynx, which is actually the same thing you do to produce the ح sound.

Portuguese is my mother tongue and I've learned English and some Spanish, German, Italian and Japanese; these languages are somewhat easy, but Arabic (Egyptian) seems to be almost impossible for a foreigner to learn! I don't know why I have not given up learning it though! Thanks for the wonderful tips anyway!
