The music festival took place (on Monday) [Or: The music festival has already taken place]. I like Higedan as much as Wanima.
This chocolate is as good as any.
She is as beautiful as anyone.= She is beautiful as far as I know.
Not the same b/c in the first sentence, you know she is beautiful. In the second sentence, you are speculating she is beautiful.
I don’t play the piano as well as you<s>yours</s>. =I’m not as good at playing the piano as you<s>rs</s>.
