actually i agree with Mihaela ;romanian language is being used just in romania. actually i also observed that romanian people can understand italian language and not struggle so much to learn spanian.. u know why? Because all those language root is latine. u can see lots of similar words in romanian language with french , italian or english.. Because their root are same... so yes u can just remain at the beginner step..and focus on learning more english or spain maybe. That can help u more insha Allah ;)

If you really want to learn a language you should know very well the reason for it. Romanian is not very important, you can use it only in Romania and it is possible that you won't live here... If your friend is a real friend, he could help you to understand the advantages of leaning romanian and he can still be your friend, without learn this language. Or, you can learn just the basics of romanian or you can visit it if you want or can. Anyway, you could remain at the beginner step. There a lot of important and beautiful languages that you can learn and it could help you in your life. Just think well about it! :)
