If Mao Zedong had come back from the dead he would have been so angry because he would have seen how rich his grand daughter is. His grand daugther's name, Kong Dongmei, has recently appeared on a list of the richest (wealthiest) persons in China. This fact has been received with surprise and disbelief among Chinese. This reaction is understandable, since her grandfather was one of the strongest communist politicians in history who always tried to erase higher classes and generate a country with more equality. I have never been seduced by comunism, from my point of view it´s so rigid. I don´t know which is the perfect system, but I am sure neither of comunism or capitalism have the key to give us a better world. I am not an expert in these issue, but spanish "democracy" has a long way to became a real democracy and now we are step back in these direction.

I think there was a famine that resulted from his collectivist policies. Many people don't listen to rational arguments though. Same thing happened in the Ukraine in the '20s. Perhaps you will read some of my other thoughts on communism...as much as even I've been seduced by it's romance.
