I always heard the words that people want a job with high salaries and social status, but not a job for happiness. Money may not buy happiness, however, without money, can one really be happy in this crowed world？

I am not sure whether people from all of the world can live a satisfying life under that situation. Especially in China, the answer will be 'no'. Food with gutter oil, water with died pigs and air with bad quality are things happened in our life. If one earns little, healthy food, water and air will be really far away from him. For example, in China, we never heard that poor people could buy a water clarifier or a air purifier. Also, college students, who receive the small amount of money from their parents, are people who really live in a world of gutter oil, because gutter oil food can be easily found in small restaurants near schools.

If you don't earn much money, I am not sure whether you can live a satisfying life in your part of the world. In China, the answer will almost certainly be 'no'. Food cooked in oil that has been collected from the gutters, water from rivers flowing with dead pigs, and poor quality air are just some of the things you can face here. If you earn enough money, you can afford to buy a water purifier, and an air purifier. Many poor people do not have this possibility, and college students especially are really living in the 'gutter oil world' because many cheap restaurants near schools are using gutter oil.

In fact, if one has a grasp of cooking skills and he lives in a town with clean water and air, he may pass those living challenges for a heathy body in China. However, after that, there are challenges from one's relatives. A kid who gets a score of 97 will be criticized by his parents, if he has a cousin who gets a score of 100 in the same test. Also, a young man who has a job with 10000 RMB/Month will feel disappointed when he talks about his cousin who earns 12000 RMB/Month in the same type of company. In this situation, should one choose a job with more money or a job he likes?

If one has a basic grasp of cooking skills and lives in a town with reasinable water and air quality, then these dangers to a healthy body can be avoided. However, besides that, there are pressures coming from within one's own family. A kid who gets a score of 97 will be criticized by his parents if he has a cousin who gets a score of 100 in the same test. Also, a young man who has a job earning 10000 RMB/Month will feel disappointed when he hears about his cousin earning 12000 RMB/Month in the same type of company. So what is more important - that you earn more, or that you like your job?

Right now, I am in this dilemma: There is a job I like, but it offers little money and it can really exhausts my energy in every day life; there is another job I don't like, but it offers a satisfying salary and I won't get that tired from it. Also, in the future, the job I like is not a job with a brilliant career development. However, another job can really helps one to be a highly specialized personnel in this career.

This is the dilemma I am currently facing: there is a job I enjoy, but it doesn't pay well, and it is also very exhausting; there is another job that I am not as keen on, but it pays well and is not as tiring. Another factor is that the job I like doesn't have much to offer in terms of career development, whereas this other job could enable me to go quite far in my career.

So, a job for money or happiness?
