MY LETTER:
Dear Mr. Moore,
I am writing to you to apply for a waiter in your restaurant.
I have been in Sydney for two months and have settled in a flat five minutes’ walk from your restaurant. I acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Shanghai China, majoring in telecommunications, which included 300 hours of English courses. After my graduation, I worked as an engineer as my main job, and an English-Mandarin interpreter as a part time job.
These experiences have awarded me high proficiency of English. In the IELTS test I took three months ago, I achieved a seven overall, with my listening component being 8.5 and speaking component being seven. Therefore, I am confident that I will do well on this post.
Thank you for considering my application. I will be grateful if you grant me this job opportunity. Enclosed with the letter is my CV (resume) and contact detail. I hope to meet you soon for a job interview.
With respect,
Melaminefree Wang
