माझं नाव अंतान.
मी जपानी आहे.
मी दुकानदार आहे.
मी इंग्रजी, चीनी आणि मराठी शिकत आहे.

It is similar to use of "and" in English. We place it before the last item in a series. Above sentence is also okay without आणि, but is much better with its use.
