Others think sport is helping reach understanding between people and nations. Discuss both views and give your opinion. There is no question that many internationally popular competitive sports bring a lot of obstacles to society. On the other hand, the popular belief is that sport provides good relationships between countries and helps to improve connections between people. Strong arguments exist of both sides of this topic, but, before reaching any conclusions, it worth examining the pros and cons of competitive sports. There are many possible ways of researching this topic and it is easiest to consider football as an example of the difficulties sport can cause. It is undeniably true that sometimes football fans are aggressive because of their support for different football teams. Unfortunately, it is common for them to be too noisy and to try to fight the fans of opposing team. In fact, the government in my country has enacted some special laws to protect people from the illegal actions of fans. Moreover, it is possible to say that fans are associated with dangerous behavior. This may be why some people gravitate towards the idea that football is just harmful for people. Another area of this topic that it is worth looking at is the general idea that sports provide an opportunity for people to understand the differences between them. In this case, the many international competitions that have been created can provide an international exchange of views. This is due to the fact that people travel around the world following competitions, and it helps to have more knowledge about people and their customs in various parts of the world. Taking into account everything mentioned above, I am inclined to believe that competitive sports have more positive than negative attributes. In my opinion, the government should control fans' behavior and try to encourage a friendly atmosphere among people.
