L'imperfetto congiuntivo

Adesso, scrivo alcune frasi e cerco di tradurle nell'altra lingua per fare pratica 

Potresti divertirti se festeggiassi con i tuoi amici.
You could have fun if you celebrated with your friends.

Credevo che loro giocassero una buona partita (congiuntivo). (Credevo che avrebbero giocato una buona partita - condizionale).
I believed they were playing a good game.

Se (tu - remember that: is not necessary to write the pronoun in Italian because It's understood where there is a verb "mi aiutassi") mi aiutassi, potremmo pulire il seminterrato.
If you were to help me, we could clean the basement.

I was hoping they were coming straight home.
Speravo che venissero direttamente a casa.

If only the sun were shining!
Magari splendesse il sole! (Letteramente "Se solo splendesse il sole"; noi generalmente diremmo "Se solo uscisse il sole")

If the dogs barked while we were sleeping, we would get mad.
Se i cani abbaiassero mentre dormissimo, ci arrabbieremmo. (It's correct, but I can't imagina an Italian to say that. We could say a sentence like "Se i cani abbaiassero mentre stessimo dormendo, ci arrabbieremmo"). Other corrections are incorrect, because they are not used the "congiuntivo" tense.

It seemed to me that she was probably a little sad.
Mi è sembrato che lei fosse un po' triste.

I thought that she was writing on the computer while I studied.
Pensavo che lei scrivesse al pc mentre io studiavo. (or "Pensavo che stesse scrivendo al pc mentre io studiavo")

They could buy a house in Italy if they had enough money.
Potrebbero comprare una casa in Italia se avessero abbastanza soldi.

We could have gone to a restaurant if they had not arrived late.
Saremmo andati in un ristorante se non fossero arrivati tardi. (You also can say "al ristorante" if you want to refer at specific restaurant)

I hoped that you were feeling better.
Speravo che ti sentissi meglio.

I hoped that you would feel better after eating.
Is this the same as,
I hoped that you would have felt better after you ate?

Speravo che ti saresti sentito meglio dopo che avessi mangiato (dopo che avessi mangiato qualcosa)

I imagined they were talking to me.
Ho immaginato che mi parlassero (congiuntivo. Or "che mi avrebbero parlato", condizionale).

I doubted that they were serious.
Ho dubitato che fossero seriosi.

I wanted my children to get along.
Volevo che i miei bambini ("bambini" is correct, but We usually use to say "figli") andassero d'accordo.

Magari splendesse il sole! Magari uscisse un po' di sole (splendere is not very common)

Magari splendessi splendesse il sole! (if you want to sound more natural: Magari ci fosse il sole!)
