We will miss you and your voice, the Hong Kong's voice of Doraemon I am new to italki and I can't think of any writing topic for the moment. Hence, I would like to share a sad news in Hong Kong. It is also our popular postings on fb today. Mr. Lam Pou Chuen, the Hong Kong's voice of Doraemon, passed away in his sleep this morning. He was neither a celebrity nor an actor; But, he worked with TVB, monopoly, free television broadcast in Hong Kong. He was a voice actor and dubbed in different cartoons, television series and movies. The most well-known voice, especially among generation of mine, was his voice of Doraemon which was a famous Japanese cartoon character. Doraemon was structurally a robot cat came from the future but it lived and could eat like human. It always picked out different inventions of the future world from a white pocket in its belly and helped its roomate, a timid primary schoolboy who was also a victim of school's bully. Every child including me would like to have a friend like Doraemon. It was one of my favourite cartoons when I was young. Hence, I feel great sorry for his death and will always remember his adorable, unique voice of Doraemon. It feels like losing an old friend who had company in my childhood and adolescent. R.I.P., Mr. Lam, our Doraemon.
