たくさんの日系アメリカ人は上手く着ることが出来ないと思っています。？
外国人が着物を着ても似合わないと思っています。
どちらでしょうか？

着物を着ている外国人はあまり見かけませんが（日本人も少ないですが）、夏に浴衣を着ている外国人はよく見かけます。

It's like Japanese people wearing suits, so it's totally fine :)
You'll see lots of non-Japanese people wearing Kimono.
There always are haters, but they complain about everything anyways.
So you don't have to worry about that!!
