Chinese fairy tale-Pan Gu created the world At the beginning, the world just like an egg. A man named Pan Gu sleep in the world. 18,000 years later, he woke up and found there was only chaos in the egg. He felt uncomfortable in the small egg. So he crack the ball Open and separate the heaven and the earth from chaos. The light part floated up and become the sky. The heavy part deposited and become the earth.Pan Gu stood between the two part. His hands hold up the sky,his feet stand on the land. The sky was 3 metres higher and the land thick 3 metres everyday. 18000 years later. The sky become hightest and the land deepest. At last, Pan Gu died.His breath became the wind and clouds,his voice became the rolling thunder. One eye became the sun and the other one became the moon.His body and limbs turned to five big mountains and his blood formed the roaring water. His veins became far-stretching roads and his muscles fertile land. The innumerable stars in the sky came from his hair and beard, and flowers and trees from his skin and the fine hairs on his body. His marrow turned to jade and pearls. His sweat flowed like the good rain and sweet dew that nurtured all things on earth. According to some versions of the Pan Gu legend, his tears flowed to make rivers and radiance of his eyes turned into thunder and lighting. When he was happy the sun shone, but when he was angry black clouds gathered in the sky. One version of the legend has it that the fleas and lice on his body became the ancestors of mankind.

Open and separate As the parts separate, the heaven and the earth were thus born from chaos. The lighter parts floated up and became the sky. The heavy heavier parts deposited descended to and become the earth.  Pan Gu stood between them the two part. To keep them separated, his hands hold held up the sky and his feet stand stood on earth the land.  For the 18,000 years, he grew a height of 3 meters pushing heaven and earth apart.The sky was 3 metres higher and the land thick 3 metres everyday. 18000 years later. The sky become hightest the highest point and the land earth the deepest end.

1.  Technically there are no fairies in Chinese as in the sense and meaning of the English word.  So Mythology (神話) is more appropriate.  仙 is usually translated as "immortal".  In certain cases such as 芙蓉仙子 or other such female denizens are they then translated as fairy, in this case Hibiscus fairy.

Just a few small additions to Jeff's extensive work. Text in green is optional and depends on meaning.

Every day for the 18,000 years, he grew a height of 3 meters taller, thus pushing heaven and earth (further) apart.

The innumerable stars in the sky2 came from his hair and beard, and; the flowers and the trees came from his skin and the fine hairs on his body. (due to switch to semi-colon use, the second part must have a verb)
