Struggling with Understand Spoken English
I've been learning English for over a year and a half and I still get stressed out every time I watch a movie or a serie and I don't understand what they are saying. Usually, I can understand what the plot is all about and aslo I get most of the dialogue. But, sometimes, a character starts to speak in a very unclear and lazy way and I simply don't understand anything, I even rewind the video to listen to what I didn't understand and then I feel like I just started to learn yesterday, because I'm not able to recognize any word that comes out of the mouth of that character, even though it seems like a very common and simple sentence.
I'm currently watching the serie Breaking Bad. Anyone who has watched that serie knows that there are many people who speak in a very informal way in that show and that the main character is a well educated chemistry teacher with a very high vocabulary. Curiously I've found myself understanding his long and complicated dialogues better than those lazy and brief ones from the characters who speak in a kind of improper way.
I really want to understand spoken English, both the informal one and formal one. However, the informal one confuses me with its laziness and the formal one makes my brain hurt with all those words that I don't know, yet. I know even native speakers don't know all the words in English, I don't know all the words in my own language, But I really want to improve my listening, so I'm going to keep practicing.
Please, correct me, if I made a mistake and thanks for reading.

I know how you feel because I have been learning German for years and it's still very difficult to fully understand what someone is saying or trying to mean. I watch a lot of German news and really try to ''absorb'' what is being said but I find that I only comprehend maybe one third of what is being said.
Stay motivated!
