有很多种英语。其中最重要的就是英式英语和美式英语。因此学英语的学生常常问哪种英语是最好的？，最标准的？ 最重要的？
在历史上看，日不落帝国的影响很大。甚至距离英国很远的地方还说英语。并且在古英语上出现了从16世纪到现代英国很多重要的高质量文字作品。 而且英国的文化有很浪漫的方面。漂亮的花园，茶亭，等等，都吸引了很多外国人。
但在现代经济的角度上看，美国却是是最重要的国家。 从二战之后英语成为重要的语言就是受到了美国的影响。文化上，在很多国家美国的电影，电视剧和音乐都是很流行的。
不过实际上还有第三种种的英语。 现在的世界成为越来越全球化。意大利人需要跟德国人商量，西班牙人需要跟俄罗斯人打电话，葡萄牙人跟中国人聊天，等等。 这种英语并不是英国的英语，而且也不是美国的英语。就是国际英语。 根据维基百科英语母语的人的数量大概是38千万人。全球人口而是大概760千万。 因此只百分之五的全球人口是英语母语,占比较少的部分。
以此来看，虽然英美英语各有好处，但是对我来说国际英语是最重要的。

English is spoken in many places. There are a lot of types of English. Among them the most important are British English and American English, Therefore students of English often ask, which is the best, the most Standard, the most important?
Historically the British Empire has a large influence. Even in far away places English is shown. Also in literature from the 16th century until today England has produced high quality literary works. In addition England has a romantic aspect, beautiful gardens, tea houses, etc which attract many foreigners.
In modern economy however America is the most important country. Since the second world war English has become an important Language due to America’s influence. Also in a lot of countries American culture is popular, films, TV series and pop music.
However really there is a 3rd type of English. Now the world is more and more globalised. Italians need to negotiate with Germans, Spanish need to call Russians., Portuguese need to chat with Chinese, etc. This type of English is neither British nor American it is International English. According to Wikipedia there are 380 million native English speakers. The world population is 7,600 million. So native English speakers are about 5% of the world’s population. A relatively small part.
In summary although British and American English have advantages I think that International English is the most important.
