Open AI is correct it is intepreting in to mean inside a custom hose. We don't specifically know which custom house. And if is intepreting at a custom house to mean a more specifc custom n and  nocbut still we don't know which one. I can't say whether Open AI API is a trustworthy tool to learn English based on this example. But in general it would be better to learn English from native speakers (or writers) rather than a program that purports to imitate such speakers or writers, it seems to me.
