Hello guys? 'I need to make changes to my life.' It's true. But leaving out my personal problems, is 'to' the only preposition that I can use with 'make changes.' Thank you so much :)

Hi Oscar, "to" my life" and "in" my life are your options. More importantly, however, I'm proud of you for being so insightful and humble about yourself and your life. That is a special quality that not all adults have. That's very admirable of you. <3 Nicky

I have seen that in many sentences various prepositions can be used, the meaning will change slightly or much with each preposition.

Hi Oscar, with this particular wording, the word "to" is part of the infinitive or base form of the verb to change; it is not a preposition in this case. Assuming that you make no changes to this phrase, then yes "to" is the only word you can use here. If you google "collocations & change" as Ed Business English suggested, you will find other ways of essentially saying the same thing. Hope we were able to help!
