On this rainy day, my mom set off early to run some errands, which is usually a bad sign. I knew what loomed - endless homework with Dad as a warden. However, not this time, not gonna happen! I am learning (or studying) the Bible and this, Exodus 31:14, popped up in my head. (It’s probably the only full sentence I’ve memorized. Too important!) I was like, "For six days work is to be done, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, holy to the Lord." Dad, bless his heart, couldn’t argue with it, speechless. Later I spent hours watching a whole season of cartoons without zero interruption. I praised the Lord for securing my day of rest.
