I recently talked again with a friend I used to play games with until 3 months ago. Lately, he seems to only hang out and have fun with people, and this made me worried about him. I believe that trying hard at something is a good thing, but I often feel bothered by people who don’t try hard. I want to build a mind that can accept people with different values.

Level: C1.
Your writing is clear and expresses more complex thoughts and personal reflections well. The grammar is strong; the main improvement is using more natural expressions and collocations. Keep up the excellent work!🌸

I recently talked with a friend I used to play games with until we stopped playing together 3 months
ago. Lately, rather than working on himself, he seems to only want hang out and have fun with people. This behavior made me worried about him. Because I believe that trying hard at something is a good thing, and I often feel bothered by people who choose not to try hard. I want to build a mindset that accepts people with different values.
Using used to, and then until together reads difficult together without adding an action after until.
Without a bit of leading context, it’s unclear why hanging out and wanting to have fun is worrisome.
English uses “mindset” to talk about a belief system or way of setting personal beliefs.
Great write up!
