Prepositions are a difficult part of each language I have studied.
There never seems to be a good rule.
I think each preposition must be learned through exposure and experience.
Other parts of grammar are easier to think about in an organized way, but prepositions seem to behave like individuals. Almost like idioms.
My point is, you can learn them and become good at them, but the best method is probably simply listening to a lot of English conversation over a long period of time.
Good luck!

Do you mean when do prepositions come before a word?
We often use prepositions before a noun.
For example:
On the floor
Under a tree
With people
While prepositions tend to come after verbs or adjectives.

preposition in Slavic languages behave the same way like prepositions in English.
Google "list of prepositions" and once you look at the words that classify as prepositions you should know where they go.

I am not sure what you are asking.
Prepositions are little words to specify relation to something. It is a grammatical element of each language.
The same like verbs, adjectives and so on.

Google 'verbs with prepositions' (likely, but unrewarding) or book a lesson with me (unlikely, but amazing) and we'll talk about them amid laughter and conversation.
