The grammar wording works though in America we might phrase them a little differently.  The main issue would be the lack of commas after a prepositional phrase.

1. Today, when I woke up in the morning, I felt that my right hand fell asleep.
>> might say ... "Today, after waking up, I could feel that my right hand had fallen asleep."

2. After a long distance flight, my neck was stiff and my legs were numb.
>>might say ... "After THAT long distance flight, my neck was stiff and my legs were numb."  
OR
>> might say... "After A long distance flight, my neck are (or can be) stiff and my legs numb."

3. At the back of my mind, I didn’t want to resign from my previous job.
>>might say... "IN the back of my mind, I didn't want to resign from my previous job."

4. In my opinion, Alice always jumps to conclusions without understanding the problem.

5. Yesterday I was told that John pop Nadine the question. 
(In this sentence I was trying to use the slang “pop the question”

In America, we would normally only use this phrase in the following to 
a.) Subject popped the question
b) Subject will pop the question

We would not include an indirect object (i.e. Nadine).  For example, we would NOT normally say, "John popped the question to Nadine."  Instead, we would usually separate this and say something like, "John popped the question.  Nadine cried with joy."  Or, "John is planning to pop the question.  Nadine will be surprised."

Your sentence would be best understood as "Yesterday, I was told that John popped the question."

>>might say... "After swimming in the ocean, I felt like I was going to throw up.  I guess that some of the ocean water got into my mouth."
OR
>>might say... "After swimming in the ocean, I felt like I was going to throw up.  I guess the ocean water got into my mouth."
