Holiday,,, well. Planning some trip will be amazing. Going abroad is always a temptation to me.
so my suggestion is : Plan yourself a challenging trip to somewhere you've never visit before.
You know, you can get sort of new fresh air, new people, new roads, new culture, new food, new shops. And it will be amazing if you can make it to the country where you didn't master its language.
I tried it once. So I went to HongKong, literally like a year ago, to attend 5 days forum in HKUST and I got myself two days to just wandering around ((for some self treat)). And I have no idea about Cantonese nor Chinese. The taxi man can't speak English and I was like "this is the end of me". I gave him the address of my first destination, HKUST, which located in Causeway Bay but he had no idea since its not written in Chinese handwriting. So at the end, I pointed out the map to the location of HKUST and showed it to the taxi man. and thanks God I brilliantly printed HongKong map before my departure, he finally brought me there. hehe
and for my personal trip after the forum, I spent most of my time discovering HongKong. I didn't go to any tourism resort. I am working on my personal experience of discovering HongKong. I was all alone with my guide book, and I can only count on the map I took in the airport once I arrived in HongKong International airport. I took a long walk from my hotel, sat in the park bench, watching people I never knew before, I was so lost on my own sight.
and when the shopping time came, I used the brand new International language called "Calculator" with the people in the market since their English is so-so. But I got such a big deal. that's a real adventure to me.
you should really try it once.
I really want to go to Greece someday,, and just doing the same thing I did in HK. It's pretty addictive to me
